Apple changed the I2C HID protocol in later drivers. If you have a MacBook Air (2017) or MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, non-Touch Bar), Boot Camp versions after 6.0.6138 introduce a 2-3 second lag on the trackpad after idle. 6.0.6136 avoids this.
