If you downloaded an international patch that uses English files ( e_text.afs ), but your base game installation expects Spanish files ( s_text.afs ), do the following: Go to your dat folder.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\KONAMI\PES6 .

If you see e_text.afs and e_sound.afs , but your game throws the error, try renaming them to match your original regional install.
