The most significant new feature in this release is the push and shove route editing. Route editing operations can now intelligently push other tracks and vias out of the way. This is a huge time-saver, whether you are slightly nudging a via to make space or pushing multiple parallel tracks. The push mode is toggled on or off with a single keyboard shortcut () and now applies equally to both the placement and editing of routes. The push editing algorithm has also been improved to handle pushing more than four parallel tracks and to prevent 90-degree corners from being created.
The 3D visualization tool now supports more accurate STEP file generation. You can export your fully populated 3D PCB directly into mechanical CAD software like SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360 to test mechanical housing clearance. By identifying bugs in simulation, you save costs on debugging and prototyping. The most significant new feature in this release
Use the 2D Graphics Box tool on the Board Edge layer to set the exact physical dimensions of your circuit board. The push mode is toggled on or off
To illustrate practical usage, we design a temperature logger using an Arduino Uno, LM35 sensor, and LCD.
