If you have the (Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro) external USB sound card and are struggling with Windows 10 – don’t throw it away yet. Official support ended years ago, but I got mine working with these steps:
Driver update utilities (Driver Booster, Snappy Driver Installer). They often install generic PCIe X-Fi drivers that do NOT work with the USB SB1090.
