A gluttonous politician is found suffocated by the very luxury foods he hoarded; a lustful socialite is drowned in a fountain of her own perfume. The killer leaves no forensic evidence, only a single line of Latin from the Book of Leviticus written in the victim’s blood: “Oculus pro oculo” (An eye for an eye).
