The series quickly grew beyond its manga origins. The original Plus-Sized Elf manga was first serialized digitally on Wani Books' Comic Gum website from December 2016 to June 2020, with its chapters later compiled into eight tankōbon volumes. After a hiatus and a change of publishers to Akita Shoten, a sequel manga titled Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping! began serialization in October 2021 and continues to this day.
Elf-san hummed, a tune that sounded like rain on a tin roof, and produced from the folds of his robe a small jar sealed with wax stamped by a symbol Nora did not recognize: a ring of five stars.
