What follows is a relentless descent into chaos. The game’s pacing is masterful, alternating between titan-sized boss battles and intricate environmental puzzles. The Remastered edition highlights the incredible detail put into the character models; you can see every bead of sweat and drop of blood on Kratos’ skin, and the scale of the Titans feels even more overwhelming with the increased draw distances and sharpened textures of the PS4 hardware.
The gameplay, too, remains largely intact. Kratos's brutal combat and traversal mechanics are as satisfying as ever, with the Blades of Chaos and his trusty Blades of Olympus cutting down gods and monsters alike with ruthless efficiency.
