The film is inspired by the true story of serial killers Anjana, and her two daughters Seema Gavit and Renuka Shinde. In real life, Anjana and her daughters kidnapped more than 40 children and murdered approximately 12 children. The sisters, Seema and Renuka, were given the death penalty in 2014 for committing these mass murders. Anjana died in 1997 while serving her sentence in prison.
