A major issue in older versions (pre-SP11) was the high failure rate when using newer USB 3.0 memory sticks with HMI targets. R&D teams discovered this was due to large data block reads. This fix reduced the reading block size and was merged into the next standard service packs, including SP12 and its hotfixes, enabling reliable use of most USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 sticks. A damaged USB stick that appears functional on a PC will be correctly rejected by the HMI, preventing potential file corruption or application errors.
